Thrift haul from a day in York and Lancaster, PA

We took a trip up to the York and Lancaster PA areas to hit some thrift stores. Our trip started at Savers in York, then a couple of Goodwills. Savers got us a few items, but our biggest haul came from browsing a Goodwill in Lancaster. We even ended up with some personal items that won’t be getting listed.

If you shop at Goodwill and didn’t know, they are comprised of dozens of independent regional groups. For example, where we are it’s managed by Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake. When we traveled to York and Lancaster, PA they are managed by Goodwill Keystone Area.

That means they have different ways of doing their operations. Turns out when we went (on a Tuesday), it was 50% off DVD’s and books, and 50% off the color tag specified. Our stores don’t have those specials, but they do have a free loyalty program. You earn one point for every $1 you spend on donated goods. When you reach 100 points, you get $10 off your next purchase, and $1 off for every 10 points after that.

So watch out for new listings coming soon to our eBay page.
